The sea has always been our pulpit” – Fr. Pádraig reflects on fifty years of ministry.

Date

Wednesday, 3 June 2026

Parish News

A reflection on parish life, faith and community across Kincasslagh, Burtonport and Arranmore.

For more than fifty years, the people of the Rosses have gathered for prayer along rugged coastlines, in island communities and within parish churches that have stood through generations.

Reflecting on parish ministry, Fr. Pádraig spoke of the unique connection between faith and place that continues to shape life in Kincasslagh.

“The sea has always been our pulpit,” he said. “It teaches patience, dependence on God and gratitude for every blessing.”

The parish remains committed to supporting families, young people and older parishioners through worship, pastoral care and community outreach.
