St. Mary’s Church

The parish church of Kincasslagh, serving generations of families across the Rosses since the nineteenth century.

History & Heritage

A sacred place at the heart of Kincasslagh.

St. Mary’s Church has long stood as a spiritual home for the people of Kincasslagh, Belcruit and the surrounding townlands of the Rosses.

Built to serve a growing Catholic community, the church has witnessed baptisms, weddings, funerals, confirmations, parish missions and countless ordinary Sundays of prayer and worship.

Its setting, close to the Atlantic coastline and beside the parish cemetery, gives it a particular place in local memory — a church bound closely to family, landscape and faith.
